An official arrest has been for the horrific murder of beloved actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd!

Antonio Demetrice Rhymes, 30 was arrested on Friday with charges of felony murder, reports the Daily Mail.

Sources have confirmed that homicide detectives established a warrant for Rhymes arrest on Wednesday following evidence and tips received from the public about Byrd’s death.

It has been indicated that Rhymes has been taken to Fulton Clinton jail upon being processed into the system.

As we previously reported Byrd was shot multiple times within his back on October 3rd around 1 AM. He pronounced dead on the scene. Surveillance footage shows that Byrd had been returning home from a grocery store run near his home in Atlanta.

Byrd was 70 years old and had created a legendary career in film and acting. He will truly be missed.
