A Texas Grand Jury has officially indicted the super streaming service of Netflix upon charges of promoting “Lewd visual material of a child!”
The suit derived from public concern and outrage of the French film Cuties, reports Fox News .
Sources have confirmed that Tyler Texas County has forwarded motion to indict Netflix since the date of September 23rd.
Official court documents accuse Netflix of promoting offensive and vulgar visuals. Including, “lewd exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the visual material was created, which appeals to the prurient interest in sex, and has no serious, literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.”
It has been indicated that Netflix initially denied all claims as social media users began to initially place their concerns. Since the courts ruling the company has returned to state, “Cuties is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children. This charge is without merit and we stand by the film.”
