According to CNBC number 45 was warned by his advisors that the virus was deadly. However he states that he was aware and decided to downplay its serious to prevent an overall panic.

He knew that COVID-19 passes through the air.
He knew it is deadlier than the flu.
He knew it is dangerous to more than just our elderly and vulnerable.He purposely downplayed the pandemic. And now, 190,000 Americans are dead.

Sources have confirmed that in an interview with Bob Woodard back in mid March number 45 stated, “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”
It has been indicated that number 45 knew of COVID-19 weeks before its first case entered the United States.
That he was informed of its vicious, aggressive nature and the deadly harm it cause. He was notified that the virus was airborne, contagious and easy to spread.
Reports read that Trump was sure that the the virus would come and one day shortly disappear.
