NBA all star #LeBronJames has recently paired up with the Major League Baseball team of the Los Angeles Dodgers to help establish a polling site for the upcoming 2020 election!
The big news was announced Thursday afternoon in partnership with LeBron’s More Than A Vote campaign reports ESPN.
As we previously reported LeBron and other NBA players created the More Than A Vote initiative to help overcome voter suppression.
Sources have confirmed that the Dodgers have been active lately with utilizing their stadium as a testing center for COVID-19 and food distribution.
“I may still be new to L.A. but didn’t take long for me to learn how special the relationship is between the Dodgers and Lakers. We are all in this together,” James said in the news release. “I’m really proud we were able to help the Dodgers become the first MLB stadium to open for voting. This is exactly why we created More Than a Vote. A lot of us now working together and here for every team who wants to follow the Dodgers lead and turn their stadium into a safer place for voting.”
Reports read that for the first five days prior to the election residents of Los Angeles county will be able to park for free and vote at the stadium.
