Recent reports have confirmed that the four former officers responsible for the direct murder of Minneapolis resident #GeorgeFloyd have received an official trial date!
Judge Peter Cahill announced the trial date of March 8th, 2021 for the ex cops on Monday, reports Fox News. As of right now it hasn’t been indicated if all four men would be tried together or separate.
Sources have confirmed that former officers Tou Thao and Derek Chauvin still remain in custody, while Alexander Leung and Thomas Lane were released on $750,000 bail
Chauvin is facing charges of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. His bail is set at $1.25 million paired with the reportedly 8,000 pages worth of prosecution evidence against him.
Thao has a set bail of $1 million dollars without conditions and $750,00 with conditions.
