According to ESPN Bryant’s last season with the Los Angeles Lakers consisted of camera crews following following him behind the scenes on a regular basis down to his 60 point finale in 2016.

Reports read that the crew had full access to the locker rooms, practices, on the road games, training and Kobe’s personal life at home.

“They had unprecedented and, by far, greater access than anyone else ever,” states John Black, Vice President of the Lakers’ public relations department. “We certainly allowed them to do everything we could within what the league would allow, and sometimes with a wink and look the other way, allowed them even more.”

It has been indicated that the gathered footage was initially meant to be a part of a potential documentary set for release years from now. However since Kobe’s untimely death nothing has been finalized or stated pertaining to the documentary.
