Detroit First Responder’s Five Year Old Daughter Passes Away From Coronavirus!

#Cousins,

please join us in sending our deepest condolences and most sincere prayers to a family left with a broken heart after the unexpected passing of their young daughter due to the #Coronavirus pandemic!

According to NBC News Skylar Herbert, 5 has been confirmed as being the youngest resident within the state of Michigan to have passed away after testing positive of COVID-19.

Neither of Skylar’s parents LaVondria or her firefighter, father Ebbie Herbert suspected for her to be diagnosed with the virus seeing how they both had tested negative. It has been indicated that Skylar hadn’t left home in days prior to her death.

“This is something that has gotten out of hand, and we need to do something about it, and that’s the reason why we’re doing this interview,” Ebbie states. He goes on to warn parents and residents to take the pandemic serious, “To let people know that it doesn’t matter what age you are, it’s coming for you.”

LaVondria’s notes Skylar’s symptoms as being non related to the Coronavirus and that she believed it to be a mild case of strep throat.

“She was being herself — eating, drinking, playing for, like, the first couple of days,” LaVondria states. “But on that fourth day, she started complaining about the headache. And the fever — I just couldn’t break the fever.”

Reports read that Skylar’s oxygen levels were within good standing but she was later diagnosed with what has been indicated to be a rare form of meningitis as a direct result of complications from the virus. Skylar was placed on a ventilator within the first week of the month of April.

LaVondria states “So even the doctors were baffled, but they really reached out and tried to find something to do to help her.”

Skylar passed away on Sunday with her parents by her side within the pediatric intensive care unit.
