#Cousins , it has officially been announced that the National Basketball Association season has been suspended due to the widespread of the #Coronavirus and a positive case contracted by a player!
According to ESPN NEWS, the announcement was made directly after Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz’s tested positive.
An official statement has been forwarded by the league indicating that, “The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.”
Reports read that tonight’s game scheduled to take place in Oklahoma City was cancelled and players were ordered to return to the locker rooms as they conducted warmups. Soon after fans within the arena were notified that the game had officially been postponed.
As of right now both teams of the Jazz and Thunders have been set for quarantine.
