Multimedia mogul #TylerPerry ‘s nephew has recently been declared dead after an apparent suicide on prison grounds!
According to TMZ Perry’s nephew Gavin Porter, 26 was discovered dead Tuesday evening within the St. Helena Parish prison located in Louisiana.
Sources have confirmed that Perry’s family including his sister which has been identified as Gavin’s mom was informed by officials that he had hanged himself while being in solitary confinement.

Reports read that Gavin had gotten into a physical altercation with another inmate over the weekend and was ordered to be placed in solitary confinement. Officials have indicated that between the hours of 6PM-7PM Monday evening , guards checked in on Gavin. However when guards returned at 8PM he was discovered dead hanging by his neck with a bedsheet.
Though there has been no detection of foul play, Gavin’s family doesn’t believe that suicide was ultimately his cause of death.
It has been indicated that Gavin was sentenced to 20 years in prison for murdering his biological father in 2016. He originally pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
