NBA legend Kobe Bryant has officially been laid to rest alongside his 13 year old daughter and aspiring basketball player Gianna reports multiple news outlets!
According to Yahoo News, a private ceremony was held for them both Friday, February 7th in Corona Del Mar, California amongst their family and close friends.
Reports read that the ceremony was completely closed off from the public and has solely been confirmed based off the Bryant’s death certificate.
Entertainment Tonight reports that they’ve spoken with Vanessa Bryant directly indicating that, “Vanessa and the family wanted a private service to mourn their loss. The ceremony was extremely hard for everyone as it’s still hard for them to grasp they lost two beautiful souls.”
Though both Kobe and Gianna have already been laid to rest, there is a public memorial scheduled to take place Feb. 24th within the Los Angeles Staple Center.
The date has been stated to signify the jersey number Kobe held throughout his career No.24 on the Los Angeles Lakers and Gianna’s school basketball team jersey No.2
