7.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Caribbean Islands Between Cuba And Jamaica!

#Cousins ; please join us in sending our most sincere thoughts and prayers to the residents of the Caribbean islands upon the recent strike of a 7.7 magnitude earthquake!

According to USA TODAY; the earthquake hit the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday then orchestrated a variant of aftershocks ranging from Florida throughout Mexico. It has been indicated that there have been no reported damages at this time.


Sources have confirmed that the first tremor struck around 10 p.m. Eastern Time centered 86 miles northwest of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and 87 miles west-southwest of Niquero, Cuba. It has been indicated that the earthquake was fairly shallow and remained at 6 miles beneath the surface.

Though there has been no reported damages apparent or harm caused to residents; officials fear that the after shocks may be so severe that they’ll cause heavy damage to certain areas. Targeting areas within Western Jamaica, the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and may possibly affect the Bahamas, Haiti and Honduras.
