#BlackGirlMagic: Coco Gauff Lands Major Win Against Defending Champion Naomi Osaka In Australia Open!

Congratulations are in order! Fifteen year old tennis extraordinaire Cori “Coco” Gauff has successfully been named the official day 5 winner of the Australia opening!

NBC Sports News reports; Coco gracefully beat fellow tennis player and former champion Naomi Osaka of Japan within multiple straight sets, with reigning scores of  6-3, 6-4.

Sources have confirmed that Coca then advanced to the fourth round of the Australia open. Single handily creating history as the youngest player in the professional era to ever eliminate a reigning women’s champion with in the tournament.

“Honestly, like, what is my life? Like, oh, my gosh!” says Coco following her major win. “Two years ago, I lost first round in juniors and now I’m here. This is crazy.”

It has been confirmed that earlier this week Coco also beat the legendary Serena Williams.

Coco goes on to state that this past year within her career she has learned a lot, which has allowed her to gain inner confidence. “I respect everyone’s game and I respect my opponent. But at the end of the day, if I’m going to go against them, I can’t say ‘Oh, I’m going to lose this match. “I believe I can beat anyone,“ she states.
