Cleveland Browns wide receiver #OdellBeckhamJr has recently been issued an arrest warrant on behalf of #NewOrleans Police after footage of him smacking a security guard’s buttocks surfaces!
According to ESPN, the now viral cellphone footage shows Beckham slapping a Superdome security guard’s bottom within the LSU locker room. It has been indicated that the incident took place in New Orleans last Monday Jan 13th, after the Tiger’s national championship game win against Clemson.
Sources have confirmed that the security guard had initially entered the locker room to inform the LSU players to put out their cigars. That is when Beckham is seen walking behind the security guard and then slapping his butt. Reports read that the security guard filled a complaint against Beckham with the New Orleans Police Department.
According to Louisiana regulations simple battery without consent of a party equals up to six month imprisonment, a fine of up to $1,000 or both. Recent reports read that the DA’s office has since decided to decline the warrant with no intent to purse.
Upon receiving the arrest warrant on Thursday, the New Orleans Police department has stated that the warrant has been retracted with no charges.
Cleveland Browns team representative has come forward to state, “We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter.”
“They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation.”
