#Cousins ; it hasn’t even been a full 24 hours yet and a Vanity Fair Journalist has found himsellf on the right side of wrong after making tasteless jokes pertaining to seven year old #BlueIvy Afrocentric facial features!
According to The Grio; Vanity Film Critic Austin Collins attacked Blue on twitter within a since deleted tweet. The incident took place after a now viral photo of Blue alongside her mother #Beyonce and #MegTheeStallion ; celebrating the new year made its rounds on social media.
Collins commented on the photo by stating, “I have a feeling the jay z face genes are about to really hit Blue Ivy and I feel so sorry for her.”
Collins tasteless joke was followed up by another fellow Viola Lucca journalist of Harper’s Magazine.
“Or she’ll just get plastic surgery at 16 a la Kylie Jenner and we’ll all have to pretend that she always looked that way. I can’t allow myself to feel too sorry for the incredibly rich!”
Many social media users we’re upset at a few obvious indications; mostly the attack of an innocent child, secondly a black man openly poking fun at Afrocentric facial features and lastly the fact that Lucca is a white woman and Collins is a Black man.
Collins has since came forward to state, “I’m sorry about the Blue Ivy tweet — bad joke, and black girls in particular deserve better.”
We hope that Collins looks deep inside himself and properly evaluates his actions the next time he fathoms the thought of speaking poorly on a child.
