#Cousins ; it has been a little over a year since the hefty 10 year sentencing of comedian, actor and identified sexual abuser #BillCosby . Within his first official interview as an inmate; Cosby shed’s light on the unfairness forwarded upon him within his sexual assault trial and why he has zero remorse!
According to Yahoo; within a three part phone interview between Cosby and BlackPressUSA; he states, “I have eight years and nine months left.” It has been indicated that he does not believe he will be released before completing his full sentencing. “When I come up for parole, they’re not going to hear me say that I have remorse. I was there. I don’t care what group of people come along and talk about this when they weren’t there. They don’t know.”
Sources have confirmed in order to be potentially considered for parole, an inmate must show some sort of remorse. Cosby goes on to say that he feels no remorse due to his beliefs that the entire trial was a set up including the jurors.
He also believe that’s his entire sentencing has to due with racial inequality. “I know what they’ve done to my people. But my people are going to view me and say, ‘That boy looks good. That boy is strong.’ I have too many heroes that I’ve sat with. Too many heroes whom I listened to like John Henrik Clarke, Kenneth Clark, and Dorothy Height. Those people are very strong, and they saw the rejection of their people. This is political. I can see the whole thing, he states.
Cosby has been sentenced to serve three to 10 years in a state prison near Philadelphia for the conviction of a 2004 sexual assault incident involving a Temple University employee.
