Star Quarterback and social justice advocate #ColinKapernick is set to show the league exactly what they’ve been missing out on these past few years as he conducts a special work out in Atlanta this Saturday!
The workout will be lead by #HueJackson with assistance from former head NFL coach Joe Philbin, reports #ESPN. Kaepernick is set to perform a series of drills amongst multiple team representatives.
Sources have confirmed that as of Thursday evening 11 teams have confirmed that they will be present for the workou; the list includes the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins . Officials are expecting additional teams to attend.
Kaepernick has spent the last three years of his career enduring the turmoil of being unofficially – officially blackballed from the league; for taking a knee during the pledge of allegiance as a stance against social injustice. With rumors in heavy circulation of the workout being deemed a PR stunt, we can only hope that this situation is more rewarding than detrimental for Kaepernick.
