From the big screen to Royal Queen, #LisaRaye has recently accepted the prestigious honor of being named Queen Mother of #Ghana !
According to the #SourceMagazine an African traditional enstoolment ceremony was held for Raye the day before her birthday on Sunday at the Cicada Restaurant & Club in downtown Los Angeles. An Enstoolment also known as installation ceremony is an African tribal tradition originally established in the 17th century by the Ashanti people of #Ghana.
Raye’s hard work and humanitarian efforts over the years have helped her gain immediate recognition. It has been confirmed that Raye was directly chosen by Paramount Chief of Agona Kwanyako, and the entire Kyidom Traditional Divisional Councils to receive this life changing honor.
“This honor is beyond my wildest imagination,” she said. “I plan to do all that I can by using my platform to bring positive attention to this region. I will serve humbly.” Raye continues, “I’ve had lots of accomplishments in my life, personally and professionally, but I didn’t get to this point alone. It’s taken a great team of people along the way. To have such an honor bestowed upon me by my own African people is a testament to my hard work and character. It’s like a dream coming true before my very eyes.”
Queen Mother’s play a major role within the influential aspects of society and also attain a lot of power within government affairs. Raye is set to reign over the central area of the country. Having been named the formal First Lady of Turk and Caicos from a previous marriage, Raye should feel right at home!
