Well Known Social Justice Advocate Amber Evans Missing Body Is Discovered In Ohio Scioto River!

Family; we would like to take this time to send our deepest condolences and prayers to a soul gone way too soon #AmberEvans. Evan’s body was recently discovered in an Ohio River after almost two months of searching under a missing person’s investigation. 

According to #TheRoot ; Evans served as social justice advocate in her city for years and worked with Juvenile Justice Coalition since 2015. She was recently promoted to executive producer weeks before disappearing. Her body was discovered Saturday, by Columbus Police. Sources state Evans was last seen on Jan. 28 after a concluded work meeting that ended at 5:30PM. She had told her co-workers she was heading home and that she did not feel well. Security footage shows Evans last public appearance at a  local store where she purchased cold medicine and a snickers candy bar. It has been indicated that Evans car was found later that evening abandoned in the Scioto Mile area in Downtown Columbus. Her purse was found in the trunk of her vehicle and her phone was discovered in another area of Scioto Mile the following day. 

Sources state Evans was originally reported missing in January due to a domestic violence dispute. After further investigation; Columbus Police Department Public Information Officer Denise Alex-Bouzounis states Evans boyfriend has forwarded full cooperation with the investigation and police officials. Which has lead the case to be identified as a “ distraught missing person .” A forwarded statement from Dispatch indicates : “Police have said since the beginning of the investigation that there were no known domestic violence issues in Evans’ relationship and there was no reason to suspect foul play.” 

Evan Mother Tonya Fischer took to Facebook live on Sunday with a heavy heart;  “I’m coming on here as a mother who has just found out that I lost my first-born child,” Fischer said, choking up as she spoke. “I love you all, and you all know I’m more than willing to accept all that you have to give… but just give me a moment. Just a moment. Give my family a moment.”
