Following the heartbreaking loss of beloved actor Malcolm Jamal Warner, his widow Tenisha Warner has been faced with financial hardships while raising their 9-year-old daughter!
According to PEOPLE, Tenisha’s close friend Destiny has stepped in and recently launched a GoFundMe campaign with a $150,000 goal. The campaign’s objective is to support Tenisha and her daughter as they navigate the financial and emotional realities that followed Malcolm’s unexpected death.
“I am organizing this campaign because I have witnessed, up close, the depth of Tenisha’s grief and the weight she has had to carry,” Destiny wrote in a message shared with the fundraiser.
“I know she would never ask for this kind of support herself, so I am asking on her behalf.” Destiny also shared that Tenisha, has been working to rebuild her life while caring for their daughter and dealing with an ongoing legal battle involving Malcolm’s estate.
Tenisha has alleged that Malcolm had been working with attorneys to update his estate plan so that his wife and daughter would be provided for, but died before those changes could be finalized.
She has also claimed that a 2022 premarital agreement required Malcolm to obtain a $1 million life insurance policy naming her as the sole beneficiary, which she says never happened.
