Whew! Just when we thought the most infamous sex tape to date had been long put to rest, the drama has taken a new and unexpected turn after Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, publicly called out both Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian following their sworn statements denying they had any role in planning the release of the infamous tape.
Taking to Instagram, Sonja questioned the Jenner-Kardashian narrative and making it clear that she is standing ten toes down in defending her son. “Who did?”
“After reading the declarations from Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, and reading their recent statements circulating, including reports published across multiple media outlets regarding the tape, I am no longer going to sit back and watch my son be “dogged” on social media over this matter when [Ray J] and I, Kris and Kim, and many others know the truth,” wrote Sonja.
“And Kris, momager, you say you did not orchestrate the commercial release of the tape. Then who did?”
Sonja expressed that she can no longer sit back and watch Ray J be “dogged” on social media when, according to her, multiple people involved know the truth about what happened. She added that she fully supports Ray J’s ongoing efforts to bring the truth to light and said she’s prepared to stand by him no matter how long the fight takes.
“I support [Ray J] and his journey to bring the truth forward. I have witnessed this journey for many years, and however long it takes, whether it becomes a long journey or a difficult battle, we will stay on that path until the voices that have distorted the truth are publicly revealed.”
“And if that truth journey must continue all the way to the doorstep of God’s judgment, then so be it.”
Sonja’s post to Instagram comes in response to Kim’s recent testimony, calling Ray J’s claims that she and Kris planned the tape’s release and staged a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment “a lie.”
“[Ray J’s] claim that I had a plan with my mother and others to release a sex tape, defraud the public, and file a ‘fake’ lawsuit against the porn company that released it to ‘create buzz’ is a lie.”
Kris also denied any involvement, saying the suggestion that she orchestrated or produced a sex tape involving her daughter is “entirely untrue” and has been harmful to her family for decades.
“As a mother, the notion that I orchestrated or produced sex tapes involving my daughter, or was in any way involved in the creation or distribution of any sex tapes, is not only entirely untrue but deeply offensive and harmful and has haunted me for decades.”
As previously reported, Kris and Kim have filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J. In response, Ray J filed a countersuit claiming the pair violated a previous settlement agreement that allegedly prohibited all parties involved from discussing the tape publicly.
According to TMZ, Kris has accused Ray J of “publicly terrorizing” Kim, while Kim claims his statements could hurt her potential plans of becoming a lawyer.
