Halle Bailey has been granted a temporary restraining order against her former partner, YouTuber and rapper DDG, following serious allegations of domestic violence and emotional abuse.
According to TMZ, the Little Mermaid star filed explosive court documents accusing DDG of physically assaulting her multiple times, including a disturbing incident earlier this year that allegedly occurred in front of their infant son, Halo.
🧾 Inside the Allegations
The court documents — obtained by TMZ — detail a January 2025 incident, where Halle says DDG became violent and verbally aggressive during a child exchange.
She states that DDG arrived to pick up baby Halo, and she attempted to calmly discuss a child visitation schedule. But things escalated quickly. Halle claims that as she was buckling their son into his car seat, DDG became visibly agitated and repeatedly shouted:
“Get out of my car, B*TCH.”
She further alleges that this wasn’t an isolated incident, and that physical aggression had occurred “on more than one occasion” — especially after the two broke up.
Reports read that just four days later, Halle claims DDG exploded again when he cameto her house. She says she told him that both her and Halo were sick and she that she didn’t want Halo to leave home. She claims DDG became verbally abusive, in response and smashed her Ring camera … and ultiamtely ran away with Halle’s phone.
Halle says as she drove off, DDG threw her phone out his window and yelled , “GO GET IT BITCH.” That specific incident triggered Halle to file a police report, and she says she also has Ring footage to back up her side of the story.
The final straw came this weekend while Halle vacationed in St Lucia with her sister Chloe and Halo. She claims DDG texted her links to multuple social media posts accusing her of being on an island with singer Brent Faiyaz,
DDG wrote, ” u think u hurting my feetlings when u really just hurting your own image. this is a terrible look. makes u look disgusting and evil.
Halle replied, “not with any man out here. i wouldn’t do that, i have halo … please let me enjoy my mother’s day in peace. i hope you are okay and feel better soon.”
👶🏽 The Safety of Baby Halo
Halle’s decision to pursue legal protection reportedly centers around the safety of both herself and their child. Along with documents Halle shared photos and screen shots as evidence of her claims whichreveal that she feared for her well-being and no longer felt safe around DDG without court intervention.
A judge has granted the temporary restraining order, which prohibits DDG from coming 100 yard of Halle until a formal court hearing takes place. She also received permission from the courts to take their almost 2 year old son to Italy with her while she is on location for a new film.
🧑🏾⚖️ What Happens Next?
As of now, DDG has not publicly responded to the allegations.
A court date is expected in the coming weeks, where a judge will determine whether to extend the restraining order and what custody or visitation arrangements may follow.
DDG has been ordered to stop posting or streaming about her and their child — Halle also claims he’s been using his platform and fan-base to trash her online
