The results are in! Donald Trump wrapped his first annual physical for term two as president receiving praise for outstanding health!
Since his initial run for president, concerns have circulated online regarding Trump’s health and age, as he is now recognized as the oldest president in U.S. history.
Doctor Captain Sean Barbabella described Trump’s current state of health as being excellent deeming him fit for his role as Commander and Chief of the U.S. “President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function,” reads a memo.
The nearly five-hour medical examination was held at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland reports BBC News. Trump received multiple tests including a cardiac examination and ultrasounds.
Weighing in at 224 pounds and standing 6ft 2.5 in tall—-Trump is said to have lost weight since his last physical as president back in 2019, previously weighing 243 pounds. He has been categorized as overweight but not obese, according to a Body Mass Index calculator.
“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Dr Barbabella wrote in a memo released by the White House on Sunday (April 13th).
The 78 year old received neurological tests on his “mental status, nerves, motor and sensory function and reflexes and showed no signs of depression or anxiety,” Dr Barbabella details that he earned a perfect score on the Montreal Cognitive-behavioral Assessment (MoCA). The test is usually used to detect early signs of cognitive declines and dementia.
Dr Barbabella highlighted Trump’s active lifestyle and participation in golfing events as contributing to his “joints and muscles having a full range of motion.”
Trump spoke to reporters following the exam to celebrate receiving a perfect bill of health.”Overall, I felt I was in very good shape,” Trump said. “A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul.”
