Safaree is currently pleading with judges to revisit the terms of his child support agreement with Erica Mena following a significant change in his monthly income!

According to exclusive reports from In Touch Weekly, the former Love and Hip Hop reality star has filed a petition in Georgia court to alter the terms of their previous agreement. Safaree explained that as part of his 2022 divorce settlement with Erica, they both covered issues regarding custody, child support, and the division of their property.

Within their settlement, Safaree originally agreed to pay $4,305 per child to Erica each month in child support.

Since the initial order, Safaree has issued a new petition stating that “The Child Support amount was based upon [his] monthly income of $61,157 per month and [Erica’s] monthly income of $41,289.00 per month.”

He says that “there has been a significant change in circumstances regarding the custodial arrangement and earnings of the parties.” Safaree’s attorney explained that he no longer makes $61,000 a month.

“Specifically, [Safaree] has greater parenting time exceeding the prescribed 12 days. [Safaree] has the minor children in his physical custody on average 3-4 weeks consistently during his time.”

“At the time of the Divorce, the Petitioner was a main reality talent for Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta; yet he is no longer a full-time talent on Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta. Further, at the time of the Divorce, the Petitioner was also booking appearances and generating an income from such appearances.”

His attorney continues, “The Petitioner is no longer able to accept the same level of booking engagements to date.” In addition, Safaree claimed he experienced a significant loss of income” due to the “direct acts” of Erica.”

Safaree’s attorney claims that Erica’s consecutive rants on social media have negatively affected his fan base.

“[Erica] for nearly six (6) consecutive months has made public posts on her social media platform to her over six (6) million followers referring to [Safaree] as a “deadbeat” and attacking his parenting skills without reason.”

“Additionally, [Erica] has created confusion regarding [Safaree’s] efforts to secure new employment by harassing the [Safaree’s] potential costars and or coworkers via multiple phone calls to the potential coworkers and production disparaging [Safaree] with false claims.”

Safaree’s legal team has also suggested that Erica’s income has increased following their divorce. Court documents read that he is requesting lower child support payments and that Erica covers his legal fees.

Reports read that that the original request was filed in June 2023 with no further activity noted.

As news of Safaree’s filing made its rounds on social media, Erica shared a 2024 calendar consisting of highlighted dates that shows when she and Safaree cared for their children separately.
