Cousins! Brian McKnight fans are hitting him where it hurts as they continue to boycott his music catalog; the singer’s shows are apparently suffering from little to no ticket sales!
According to trending reports, Brian has received a surplus of backlash due to his estranged relationship with his three eldest children Briana, Niko, and Brian McKnight Jr. from a previous marriage. Fans have been extremely vocal over the years in sharing their disapproval of the once beloved R&B singer’s neglect of his kids.
“The steep discounts on McKnight’s concert tickets are a clear indication of the backlash he is facing,” says a source. WBLS reports that “tickets for an upcoming show in Washington, D.C., are being sold at nearly half price on platforms like Groupon.”
Things originally kicked off in 2022 when he highly praised his current wife in a post to social media, “For the very first time in my life I got to experience what it’s like to want to and plan to have a child made from love.”
Apparently, folks are keeping the same energy online and offline as Brian’s once highly anticipated shows continue to struggle with ticket sales. Though he hasn’t addressed any concerns regarding the recent disconnect between him and fans, it’s clear that his career is taking an ultimate hit.
Sources state that a Detroit show scheduled for earlier this year back in June was canceled as tickets were “reportedly not doing well.”
