Marlon Wayans Files For Joint Custody Of 18 Month Old Daughter Axl!

Cousins! Marlon Wayans has formally filed for joint custody of his 18 month old daughter that he shares with his ex girlfriend Brittany Moreland!

According to Essence Magazine Brittany initially filed a petition earlier this year to have full legal custody of their daughter. She also requested that the comedian received visitation rights, in which Marlon accused her of being entitled, reports PEOPLE.

The former couple welcomed a baby girl together they named Axl, in December 2022.

Sources state that Marlon signed a voluntary declaration of parentage one day after Axl’s birth. The legal form establishes a parent-child relationship without having to visit court.

As news of Marlon welcoming another child began to surface online, he expressed his feelings about Brittany taking strides to obtain full custody while also requesting for an increase in child support payments.

Brittany issued claims in court that Axl spends “95 percent of their time with me and 5 percent of their time with the other parent.” She has also requested an additional $2,000 per month from Marlon to assist her in paying for child care so that she can continue working.

“It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more,” said Marlom.

“My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2k,” suggestinc that most women would be satisfied with less.

Court documents show that Brittany has requested that the child support amount be raised from $18,000 to $20,000 to help align with her monthly expenses.

She details that her monthly expenses include $5,000 in childcare and $3,000 in grocery along with household supplies.

In a previous interview with The Shade Room Marlon addressed the issue he has with being identified as a visitor in Brittany’s petition.

“Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor?’ Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do,” he said.

“I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good…it’s GOD.”
