Cousins! Jim Jones is in the clear following an airport incident where he had to put the paws on two men following a 2-1 scuffle!
According to reports from TMZ, officials have sided with Jim’s story that he was attacked by the two men at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and acted in self-defense.
A police report obtained by the outlet confirms that issues between Jim and the two men began as he stood up to retrieve his belongings from the first class overhead compartment as the plane began to land. The Harlem, New York native says that passenger, James Dos Santos confronted him and pushed him in the chest.
In response, Jim says he grabbed James’ arm and gave him a direct warning. James is said to have apologized immediately, however, Jim told the police that another guy, identified as Alexander Lekht, had gotten involved.
Jim says that Alexander screamed at him from a different seat.
As the incident escalated, deputies were called to the gate, but Jim had declined to report the incident and instead made his way to baggage claim.
Alexander is said to have followed Jim in efforts to further antagonizing him. Surveillance footage show him making flinching gestures towards the rapper more than once.
Things erupted as the men made their way onto the escalator, Alexander could be seen making a second hand jerking movement towards Jim and it all went down hill from there, Literally.
Jim defended himself by tossing Alexander down the escalator head first and then detaining him until officials arrived. James also hopped in and continuously punched Jim in his back and on the top of his head until arriving officers broke up the fight.
After further investigation and review of the captured surveillance footage, officers sided with Jim. Thankfully for the two identified thugs, he wasn’t interested in pressing charges.
