Cousins! Despite their recent fallout with Kanye West , the athletic brand of Adidas has confirmed that they will continue to sell Yeezy products but under a new name!
Earlier today within a discussion of quarterly earnings, Adidas Chief Financial Officer Harm Ohlmeyer made it clear that they own the designs it made in partnership with the Chicago rapper.
“Adidas is the sole owner of all design rights registered to existing product,” he said. “We intend to make use of these rights as early as 2023.” He didn’t provide much detail on specifics of their future moves but states that the company owns, “all the versions and new colorways. It’s our IP.”
As we previously reported Adidas decided to cut ties with Kanye West following his controversial statements surrounding Antisemitism, along with him pushing the notion that they couldn’t drop him.
