In a direct statement from The Royal family it has been confirmed that Queen Elizabeth has passed away at 96 years old!

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” reads a statement just hours after the palace had previously announced Queen Elizabeth was ill and under medical supervision. Elizabeth had been placed under medical supervision earlier Thursday, officials said.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the palace said in a previous statement.

“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” the king said in an issued statement. “We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.”

According to TMZ, King Charles is now in power, writing, “The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
