Yesterday’s price is not today’s price; as Fat Joe has a docuseries on the way!
According to The Jasmine Brand, BET and Showtime are developing the upcoming show. The docuseries, titled ‘The Book of Jose’, highlights Fat Joe’s personal life, including his time in jail, drug addiction, and past beef with other musical figures.
The docuseries will also dive into his upbringing and rise to stardom in the music industry. Fat Joe is executive producing the series with Jorge A. Reyes and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
Without hesitation, the rapper shared the news on Instagram:
“THE BOOK OF JOSE the book ain’t even come out yet, and we shooting the series finally the REAL ON T.V.,” he wrote as the post’s caption. He also has his own show on Starz called The Fat Joe Show and an upcoming memoir that’s heading to small screens really soon. There are no other details on the plot thus far.
In the past, Fat Joe has had a past clash with 50 Cent, which eventually made headlines. 50 said he wanted all the smoke with the “What’s Luv?” hitmaker after he collaborated with Ja Rule, who was signed to the same label. But, as Fat Joe stated during his interview with Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club segment, they’ve made amends.
