Incase you haven’t noticed there appears to be an apparent issue with Instagram stories that has everyone wondering what the heck is going on?

The issue began on Tuesday afternoon as each user noticed they would have to view their followers Instagram stories from the very first post within the 24 hour span in order to view their most recent upload. Sounds annoying? Because it is.

As social media users began to pile on different platforms such as Twitter to address the issue, it became noticeable that everyone was facing the same complication.

According to The Verge, a spokesperson from Meta identified as Christine Pai addressed the issue on Wednesday in an email noting that they are, “aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram Stories.” Christine continues in saying,” Instagram is working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible” and apologizes for the inconvenience”

Reports read that Instagram also released an update on the App Store that has appeared to have fixed the glitch for multiple users.

The social media platform is currently advising social media users to to check for the update and see if your app is on the latest version, which has been confirmed as being 239.1. The update’s notes also says, “The latest version contains bug fixes and performance improvements.”
