Lizzo Lands Her Own Documentary On HBO Max For the Fall!

Are you guys ready to see Lizzo across your television screens?

The superstar has been making moves in her latest announcement, the “Feel Good” singer announced an untitled documentary about her life and career premiering on HBO Max this fall, reports Harper’s Bazaar. 

“About Damn Time,” the singer says, “Growing up I never dreamed I’d get to experience all of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started. I’m so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max,” says Lizzo in a released statement,

The documentary will focus on her trailblazing career while touching on her humble beginnings. and rise to international fame.

“From ‘Cuz I Love You’ to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album ‘Special,’ y’all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process. It takes ten years to become an ‘overnight success,’ and hopefully, I can inspire other young creatives to keep going,” she continued.

 The executive producer of HBO’s Dr. Dre/Jimmy Iovine docuseries The Defiant Ones, Doug Pray, will direct the documentary. Reportedly, it will be released after Lizzo’s upcoming studio album Special. Also, this will be the second streaming release from the singer after releasing her Amazon reality series Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.

The head of original content at HBO Max, Sarah Aubery says, “To get the chance to work with someone we have admired and adored for so long is a dream come true. Lizzo’s formidable talent has entertained and inspired millions, and we are ecstatic to help share her incredible journey.”
