Season four of Grown-Ish is officially in the books with fresh adventures on the way. As new chapters began to unravel, sadly that means old one begin to close!
According to reports from TV Line , six original cast members have confirmed their exit from the series ahead of season five.
Cast members Francia Raisa (Ana), Emily Arlook (Nomi), Chloe Bailey (Jazz), Luka Sabbat (Luca), Halle Bailey (Sky), and Jordan Buhat (Vivek) will not be returning for the upcoming season.
It has been stated that the show will now Center Yara Shahidi ( Zoey Johnson ) , Trevor Jackson (Aaron Jackson , Diggy Simmons ( Doug ) and series new comer Marcus Scribner ) Junior Johnson).
“Francia, Emily, Chloe, Halle, Luka, and Jordan will always be a part of the ‘-ish’ family. This new season isn’t a goodbye, we are just expanding the world; there will always be an open door for them to return,” stated Season 5 showrunners Zakiyyah Alexander and Courtney Lilly.
“For season 5, we’re excited to dive deeper into the storylines of Zoey, Aaron, and Doug in their post-grad adventures and welcome a new dynamic class to Cal-U, including Junior.”
The series originally premiered on January 3rd 2018, created by Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore. Grown-ish, is a direct spinoff from the popular ABC sitcom Black-ish. The series surrounded the Johnson family’s eldest daughter Zoey and her journey through adulthood and college while discovering herself.
