Cousins!
Jada Pinkett-Smith has always been vocal of her truth while remaining authentic to herself. One in particular instance is her battle with hair loss in adjusting to her new reality by embracing the struggles that come with it!
According to People, the Red Table Talk host suffers from alopecia, an autoimmune disease that attacks hair follicles, usually resulting in bald spots and immediate hair loss.
Jada recently shared a video on social media directly embracing one of her bare scalp patches.

“Now at this point, I can only laugh,” Pinkett Smith said as she ran her finger across a bald line patch along the center of her scalp. “Y’all know I’ve been struggling with alopecia and just all of a sudden one day, look at this line right here. Look at that.”
With a laugh, Pinkett-Smith continues, “So it just showed up like that and this is going to be a little bit more difficult for me to hide. So I thought I’d just share it so y’all are not asking any questions.”
Instead of making a big deal out of it, Smith adds positivity to the situation by saying, “But you know mama’s going to put some rhinestones in there. I’m going to make me a little crown. That’s what mama’s going to do”.
Honestly, I love this look on Jada, and it fits her well. Many people can not pull this look off, and actually it suits her personality. Not only that, Pinkett-Smith circumstances also represent tons of women who suffer from the disorder. I think this will help women to embrace alopecia by helping then to be more comfortable with their new reality of dealing with hair loss.
