Well, Hulu has listened to social media as they removed its heavily criticized news special  Astroworld: Concert From Hell within hours after it premiered on the platform!

According to Decider the news special revolved around the chaotic events that occurred at Travis Scott‘s November 5th festival. The event left ten concert-goers dead after the 50,000 person crowd charged, causing a stampede.

While many people assumed it was a Hulu original documentary, it was an investigative special on ABC13/KTRK-TV. A local news station in Houston, where the concert took place. 

Without any clarity, many people mistook the documentary produced by Hulu and took to social media to cite their frustration with the streaming platform. They called out the streaming platform for its lack of sensitivity toward the tragedy. 

A Hulu spokesperson said in a statement, “This was an investigative local news special from ABC13/KTRK-TV in Houston that originally aired on November 20th. This was not a Hulu documentary and has since been removed to avoid confusion.”
