Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Super Bowl champion Demariyus Thomas following tragic news of his passing!

Local officials arrived to his Roswell, GA home on Thursday around 7PM following a call in reference to a cardiac arrest, reports TMZ.

Sadly Demaryius lifeless body was discovered within his shower as he laid on his back. It has been indicated in forwarded reports obtained by the outlet that apparent signs of rigor mortis were visible.

The medical term is defined as, a visible, “stiffening of the body muscles due to chemical changes in their myofibrils.” Rigor mortis also assists with estimating the time of death or if the deceased body has been moved since their passing.

Sources confirm that an autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Friday.

Fellow NFL Star Tom Brady took to Twitter to share his condolences in a heartbreaking post that read, “Im so sad to wake up this morning to hear about the passing of my friend Demariyus Thomas. We were all blessed with his humility and positive spirit, and we will all miss him. This photo is from the Hall of Fame this past August, a source of light as always. 🙏 RIP“

Demariyus was 33 years old and was set to celebrate turning 34 on Christmas.
