Cousins!

Ja Rule has been making his rounds lately following his recent Verzuz win against frequent collaborator and friend Fat Joe !

The Queens, New York native appeared on an episode of Drink Champs where he discussed him and Joe’s conscious decision not to play any of their R. Kelly collaborations.

Ja explained that separating the art from the artist is a tough thing to do at times, “That’s why we didn’t play no R. Kelly records that night.”

He continues, “R. Kelly’s a flawed man, he’s going through his problems….He’s flawed. Nobody’s perfect… “

”And, you know, what he’s done is what he’s done and he has to account [for it]. But the art, do we throw it away? … It’s such a touchy subject, and for me it’s a touchier subject.”

Ja reveals that he wrote the Kelly’s verses on their collabs and Drink Champs host N.O.R.E stated that Fat Joe did the same.
