The Atlanta area spa shooter accused of killing 8 people within a tragic March massacre has received a total of four life sentences after directly pleading guilty to four of the murders so far!

Robert Allen was sentenced today within the Cherokee County Superior Court by Chief Judge Ellen McElyea, reports NBC News .

As we previously reported Robert shot and killed Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33, Paul Andre Michels, 54, Xiaojie Tan, 49, and Daoyou Feng, 44, earlier this year on March 16th after receiving services at Youngs Asian Massage parlor. He also murdered four additional people at another spa located in Atlanta.

Reports read that he’s currently indicted on a total of 23 charges in relations to the Cherokee County shootings including malicious murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.

Prosecutors have recommended four life sentences without the possibility of parole, and an additional 35 years.

According to Cherokee County District Attorney Shannon Wallace the families of the surviving victims and those who lost their lives did not want to pursue the death penalty.

A total of six employees and customers survived the attack. Prosecutors revealed the employees were either hiding in rooms where someone else was shot or were in rooms Robert didn’t enter.

Officials state that Robert had originally attempted to say that the incident was motivated by sexual addiction. Experts state that this specific claim has drawn criticism upon dangerous sexist tropes targeting Asian women and are used within numerous attempts to exonerate white men.

Robert is set to appear in Fulton County Court next month for additional Atlanta charges.
