Ex officer Derek Chauvin alongside his legal team are currently requesting a new murder trial!
According to TMZ, the former Minneapolis officer believes he was wrongfully convicted for the murder of George Floyd.
Reports read that Chauvin’s attorney Eric Nelson filed official legal documents on Tuesday requesting for the jury’s verdict to be tossed.
Sources have confirmed that Chauvin’s legal team is accusing the jury and prosecution of numerous errors within the trial which convicted him as guilty of all charges.
Nelson has forwarded claims that the jury should have been warned to avoid all media related to the case. He claims that jurors could have possibly felt intimidate and that his client’s rights to due process and a fair trial were violated.
