Popular 2000s rapper Mystikal has officially been cleared of rape charges by a grand jury recently due to lack of available evidence!

According to TMZ , the rapper’s lawyer Joel Peace states that “ “new scientific evidence emerged causing the Grand Jury to take a second look at the rape allegations made against [him].”

Sources have confirmed that Mystikal had originally turned himself in back in August 2017.

He was facing charges for first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping within connection to 2016 incident involving involving him and a woman at a casino he had performed at.

Prior to serving 18 months within a Louisiana prison, Mystikal had been offered a plea deal in which he turned down. His legal team argued that his accuser had a hidden agenda and he pleaded no guilty.

Mystikal was released from prison back in February of 2020 on a $3 million dollar bond.
