Cousins!

In an interview with the Breakfast Club, actress Taraji P. Henson confirmed her split from former fiancé Kelvin Hayden !

For months our good cousins have speculated of the two separating after she appeared in multiple photographs not wearing her engagement ring. Furthermore questions sparked after Kelvin wasn’t present for Taraji’s recently celebrated 50th birthday trip. However nothing was ever officially confirmed.

Taraji stated earlier today that the two had tried to make things work before ending it.

“I’m dedicated to the black man, y’all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I hadn’t said it yet, but it didn’t work out,” Taraj states.

“I tried. I was, like, therapy. Let’s do the therapy thing, but if you’re both not on the same page with that then you feel like, you’re taking it on yourself, and that’s not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.

Taraji admits that therapy was on the table and that they did try it out, but their happiness played the main factor in their decision.

According to Essence Taraji and Kelvin we’re supposed to get married in Spring however due to Covid-19 they were unable to.
