Cameron is set to receive a variant of guards throughout the end of the year within a $300,000 proposal that has been approved by Kentucky state’s Government Contract Committee, reports the NY Post.
“Our office has received detailed threats against the Attorney General, his wife, and members of his family,” says a member of Cameron’s within a forwarded a statement.
“The Attorney General’s protective detail determined that given the credibility of such threats, additional personnel and resources were needed to provide the appropriate level of security.“
Cameron originally received major backlash following Breonna’s death in March due to lack of urgency of arresting and charging the officers responsible for her murder.
As of now he’s under fire for the grand jury’s unjustified ruling in Breonna’s case that failed to convict the three officers.
