#Cousins;
Congratulations are in order for the cast and crew of HBO’s original series Insecure after they’ve successfully created history of their own earning their first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy series!
According to ET, Insecure has been nominated for not one, not two but eight Emmy nominations this year. At the very top of the list of noms the show’s creator #IssaRae has secured an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series alongside #YvonneOrji for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Sources have confirmed that though Insecure has been nominated in the past for multiple primetime Emmys, this is the very first time within the series 5 seasons history that they’ve ever been nominated for Outstanding comedy.

Since its original debut in 2016, Insecure has successfully jumpstarted much needed conversations upon surrounding topics about relationships, friendships, sex, inclusivity, racism, stereotypes, millennial lifestyles, culture and more.
Whether your a fan of the show, a Black Twitter enthusiast that breaks down the thesis of each week’s episode or the leader of the Molly haters fan club like some of us have turned to following the past season; this is an overall win for Black Culture as a whole
I know Molly stressed y’all THE heck OUT this season, but shout out to all of you for riding with @insecurehbo and for VOTING!! We IN HERE! And it’s even sweeter when the WHOLE SQUAD THRIVIN TOO! 👏🏾👏🏾 to @IssaRae on her Emmy nod, the entire show, AND @BlackLadySketch!
