Please join us in sending our deepest condolences and most sincere prayers to a family of nine children, whose father was shot and killed after advising a female shopper to put a mask on!

Calvin “ Duper” Munerlyn, 43 worked as a security guard within a local Family Dollar store within Flint, Michigan reports Fox News.

The incident took place days after Gov Gretchen Whitmer implemented that all residents must wear a face mask and face covering when traveling in public spaces.

Sources have confirmed that the May 1st incident involved Ramonyea Bishop, 23, Sharmel Teague, 45 and her husband, Larry Teague, 44. With indication that an argument began when Munrrlyn told Sharmel Teague she needed to wear a mask while shopping in the store.”

Leyton states Teague and her daughter left and 20 minutes later her husband and his son Larry Teague and Bishop confronted Munerlyn. He goes on to state that a witness overheard Larry yell at the guard about disrespecting his wife and that’s when Bishop fatally shot Munerlyn in the head.

Teague, Bishop and Larry are all currently within police custody and facing charges for murder. Larry is facing an additional charge for not complying with the face mask orders.

“There’s just no excuse for somebody to take this kind of action over this kind of an issue,” Leyton states. “I can’t fathom it.”We need to make a commitment as a community” to stay safe and “turn the page on this crisis together.” He continues, “If not for ourselves, we should do it for Calvin Munerlyn, who has lost his life needlessly and senselessly.”

Fox News further reports, a GoFundMe page was set up for Calvin with the initial goal of raising $10,00 for funeral arrangements. It has been confirmed that as of Monday morning more than $10,050 was raised on his behalf.
