#ForTheCulture: Diddy Holds Virtual Town Hall Meeting Discussing, ” The State Of Black America & Coronavirus”


Sean #Diddy Combs has recently partnered up with #RevoltTV to help bring fourth awareness of the #Coronavirus pandemic and it’s direct affect on Black people!

The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall meeting served as a two hour long special focused purposely on the COVI-19 crisis and it’s direct affect on the Black community, according to Complex magazine. The virtual special provided information, insight and in-depth conversation upon the harsh realities Black people have been forced to face since the outbreak initially occurred.

Sources have confirmed that within the last month data has been forwarded indicating that the pandemic is killing African Americans at exceedingly high rates. Reports read that within Michigan one third of the confirmed cases include roughly around 40 percent of Black people, also accounting for 70% of the virus related fatalities within the state. It has also been implemented that Black communities within the state of #Louisiana which make up for one third of the population, ironically accounts for 70% of COVID-19 ruled deaths.

Senator #KamalaHarris appeared as a speaker within the virtual meeting as well. She stated, “You look at what’s happening in terms of documenting longstanding health disparities (among African Americans) … asthma, 20 percent more likely to have it; high blood pressure, 40 percent more likely to have it; lupus, black women are three times more likely that white women to have it. And this disease, this coronavirus, attacks people who otherwise have health conditions. So, we’ve got a lot at stake.”

Harris goes on to note the sad truth that the average African American is not forwarded the opportunity to work remotely from home or attain sick paid leave, which plays a factor of them risking their health to be able to provide for their families.

Harris continues, “There’s a lot to address, a lot to talk about, a lot to fight for …”

“We’re gonna get through this, because we’re all in this together. And, again, thank you to all the leaders for being a part tonight.”

Angela Rye, Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Reverend Al Sharpton, Van Jones and numerous other key note speakers also appeared within the town hall meeting.

Diddy also announced Friday evening on his personal Instagram account that this Sunday the entire Comba family will be holding a dance-a-thon to help raise money for healthcare officials.
