Within less than a month healthy DJ, father and husband Conrad Buchanan was able to dance, play music and enjoy life with his family; unfortunately in a matter of days his entire life ultimately changed forever.
Conrad’s health turned for the immediate worst on March 14th reports CNN News. Despite his wife Nicole Buchanan acting fast and rushing him to the nearest hospital to be tested for #COVID19, he was ultimately denied.
“We couldn’t get him tested. I fought and fought and fought,” says Nicole. “They didn’t want to test him due to his age and (because) he had no underlying health issues.”
Sources have confirmed that on the date of March 22nd Conrad’s body had began to shut down. Nicole rushed him to the hospital again but this time he was immediately intubated. She states that within minutes she had went to go park the car and that was the last time she ever saw her husband. “I walked up to the doors. The hospital’s on lockdown. They wouldn’t let anybody in after that,” she stated. “I never got to say, ‘I love you.’
Conrad’s death is proof of how serious the Coronavirus is and that no one is immune to the virus despite their age or medical history.
“I need everybody to know that this is serious. People think that it’s just going to affect people with underlying health issues, old people. But it doesn’t, states Nicole with a heavy heart.
“And seeing what my husband had to go through was horrible. And now our life has turned into this horrible nightmare.”
Since her husband’s death Nicole has urged people to stay home and follow necessary precautions.
“You guys have to take this seriously,” she states. “I would hate for anybody — anyone else’s family or children — to have to go through what we’ve gone through. Our hospital systems aren’t ready. Just stay home.”
Reports read that Nicole has tested positive for COVID-19 and that she is currently awaiting the results of their young daughter Skye test.
