Radio personality and New York Times best selling author #CharlamagneThaGod has officially established a fully funded scholarship program in honor of his mother at South Carolina state university!
#TheShadeRoom reports Charlamagne has invested $250,000 dollars on behalf of his mom’s former college. It has been indicated that he presented the scholarship check Saturday afternoon at the SCSU homecoming game to the alumni association.
The scholarship program has been directly named after Charlamagne’s mother and grandmother’s maiden name. Sources have indicated that the scholarship will assist Black Women in South Carolina who major in English, communications and behavioral science.
“Always remember investing in an HBCU is investing in the future of our people so the next time an HBCU asks for money, open that wallet,” Charlamagne says in an instagram caption. “It’s a blessing to be a blessing!”
