LA Clipper’s Player Patrick Patterson Refers To Black Women As Bulldogs!

There is an extremely thin line between loving who you want and directly disrespecting an entire race of women . A conversation from 2018 between an Instagram user and LA clippers player Patrick Patterson has recently resurfaced and has the entire black community’s blood boiling with disappointment.

According to Source Magazine ; Patterson clapped back at an instagram user that commented under a picture of him wishing his white wife Sarah Nasser a Happy Anniversary.
The user challenged Patterson’s choice in women, implying that he only pursued a white woman because he has money and if he wasn’t well off the circumstances would be different.

Patterson then responded by not only referring to black women as bulldogs but using historical figure Martin Luther King Jr. as a key component to back up his argument of not seeing race as an issue. “So I should settle for a bulldog and act like I’m happy with my life and preach ‘keep it in your race’ to the world as if Dr. King didn’t fight/die for equality, acceptance, all cultures loving one another, and no hate? “No thanks,” continued the 30-year-old basketball player. “That maybe your life but I don’t want that for mine or my family. Color doesn’t matter. Wake up.”

After being dragged across multiple social media platforms; Patterson then decided to dish a light apology. Indicating that he was sorry for his comment and implementing that the conversation happened over a year ago.

People can marry who they want. My concern is when a black man makes negative references about black women, does he remember who birthed him? IJS
